Privacy Policy

Prediction Genius (“we,” “us,” “our”) runs predictiongenius.io. Short version: we collect what we need to run the service, we do not sell it, and you can get it back or delete it. The detail is below.
1. What we collect
Three sources, nothing hidden:
- What you give us: your email if you subscribe to a newsletter; and payment details if you buy something (handled by our payment provider, never stored on our servers).
- What we collect automatically: standard server logs (IP, browser, referrer, pages, timestamps), analytics via Google Analytics 4, and cookie identifiers for sessions and analytics.
- What we buy from third parties: nothing. We do not purchase or import personal data about you from anyone.
2. How we use it
We use what we collect to:
- Run, maintain, and improve the site.
- Send transactional email (verification, receipts, service notices).
- Send marketing email only if you opt in, with an unsubscribe link in every one.
- Read usage patterns to make the product and content better.
- Catch and stop fraud or unauthorized access.
- Meet our legal obligations.
3. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies for the essentials (keeping you logged in, remembering preferences) and for analytics (Google Analytics 4). Your browser settings control them, though turning them off may break some features. We do not run cross-site advertising cookies.
When you click an outbound link to an exchange (Kalshi, Polymarket, PredictIt), we attach non-identifying tracking parameters so we can see which parts of the site send traffic. Those parameters say nothing about who you are.
4. Who we share it with
We rely on these providers to operate, and only for that:
- Vercel — website hosting and edge delivery
- Supabase — database hosting (operational data; the only personal data is account and subscription emails)
- Google Analytics 4 — usage analytics
- Cloudflare R2 — historical data archives
- Anthropic — AI content infrastructure (no user data is sent to it)
They process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements and do not use it for their own purposes. We do not sell your personal information.
5. How long we keep it
Account data lasts as long as your account does, plus a reasonable window for legal compliance. Server logs are kept 90 days. Analytics data follows our Google Analytics retention setting (currently 14 months).
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can:
- See the personal data we hold on you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete it (within legal retention limits)
- Restrict or object to how we process it
- Take your data with you
- Pull marketing consent any time
Email hello@predictiongenius.io to exercise any of these. California residents have specific CCPA rights; EU and UK residents have GDPR rights.
7. Security
We run standard protections: HTTPS encryption, access controls, and regular audits. No system is bulletproof, so use a strong, unique password and turn on extra security (like 2FA) where we offer it.
8. Minors
This is not built for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a minor sent us information, tell us and we will remove it.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States. Using the service means your data is processed in the U.S. Where it applies, we use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this when we need to. Material changes get posted here with a fresh “Last updated” date. Keep using the service after a change and you accept the new version.
