South Carolina State is the heavy side of the Orange Blossom Classic board, quoted at 89c on Kalshi as of September 2 against 11c for Florida A&M. The Bulldogs are the defending Celebration Bowl winners at 10-3 in 2025 and opened 2026 with an 87-0 win over Savannah State, while the Rattlers went 5-7 last season and beat Albany State 20-7 in their opener. The two teams kick off at 3:00 PM ET on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on ESPN, with about $9.2K of lifetime volume across a Kalshi-only moneyline. The live board above carries the current price on both sides.
South Carolina State enters the Orange Blossom Classic as the clear chalk, and the board has not moved off that read. The Bulldogs beat Prairie View A&M 40-38 in four overtimes in the Celebration Bowl on December 13, 2025 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to finish 10-3, then opened 2026 by beating Savannah State 87-0 in Orangeburg. Florida A&M finished 5-7 and beat Albany State 20-7 in its own opener. Both teams are 1-0. The market is treating that as a formality rather than a shared starting point, and the reason is in the 2025 ledger.
South Carolina State went 9-3 in the 2025 regular season and 5-0 against MEAC opposition, beating Norfolk State 51-20, Morgan State 36-30, Howard 42-12, North Carolina Central 34-27 and Delaware State 28-17. Two of the three losses were FBS money games, 10-38 at South Carolina and 14-63 at South Florida, and the only FCS loss was 24-31 at Charleston Southern. The Bulldogs then won the Celebration Bowl. In the 2026 opener, quarterback Ronnie Robinson threw 9 of 11 for 96 yards and running back Mason Pickett-Hicks carried 9 times for 95 yards and a touchdown, workload numbers that say the starters were pulled long before the 87-0 final.
Florida A&M's 5-7 season is the other half of the price. The Rattlers were beaten 7-45 by North Carolina Central, 14-42 by Alabama State, 16-41 by Jackson State and 14-56 at Florida Atlantic, and none of their five wins came by more than eight points (33-25 over Albany State, 33-28 over Alcorn State, 43-35 at Southern, 31-28 at Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 26-23 at Alabama A&M). They closed 2025 with losses to Bethune-Cookman 38-34 and Mississippi Valley State 35-31. The opener was a step forward but not a loud one: quarterback Isaiah Knowles went 14 of 23 for 190 yards and a touchdown against Albany State, and the ground game produced 54 yards on 16 carries from Jamal Hailey in a 20-7 win.
The head to head cuts the other way and the board is ignoring it. Florida A&M has won the last two meetings, 22-18 at Bragg Memorial Stadium on August 31, 2024 and 20-14 at South Carolina State on October 8, 2022. Pricing the Bulldogs at 89c against a team that has beaten them twice running is the market saying the 2025 season and the two openers outweigh two years of matchup history. That is a defensible read given the 87-0 to 20-7 gap in week one, and it is also the single assumption a Rattlers backer is buying against at 11c.
This line has not moved. South Carolina State printed 89c on all 19 snapshots our system captured between September 2 and September 3, a window of roughly 23 hours, and Florida A&M drifted only from 12c to 11c across 35 snapshots over the same stretch. There is no open-to-now story to tell here yet because the capture window starts this week, but within it the board is flat.
The board is Kalshi-only. Platform count is 1, there is no Polymarket leg on either side, and so there is no cross-platform consensus to read and no second book to check the price against. Lifetime volume is about $9.2K, split roughly $4.7K on the South Carolina State leg and $4.5K on the Florida A&M leg. That is a thin market, and the 1c to 2c gap between the yes and no quotes on the Bulldogs leg is what a thin order book looks like rather than a signal.
The board also carries a moneyline only. There is no spread and no total listed, so the margin question and the scoring question both have to be expressed through the winner market or not at all. For a game the market prices at 89% to 11%, that is the main structural limitation: the interesting question is how much of the second half the starters see, and the board has no instrument for it.
Scheduling is the one live variable worth tracking. Florida A&M plays at Miami on Thursday, September 10 at 8:00 PM ET, also at Hard Rock Stadium, four days after this game. Two games at the same stadium in five days against an ACC opponent is a real depth-chart allocation question for a program that ran 16 carries for 54 yards in its opener. South Carolina State hosts Virginia State on September 12 and then travels to Furman on September 19, a softer near-term sequence.
The market resolves on the outcome of the game itself, played Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, with national coverage on ESPN. Each moneyline contract pays $1 per share if that team wins the game and $0 if it does not, and Kalshi settles once the game is final. Florida A&M is the designated home team for the Orange Blossom Classic even though ESPN lists the game as a neutral site. Expect settlement the same evening or the following morning under normal conditions.
Starter workload: South Carolina State's quarterback attempted 11 passes in an 87-0 win, so the sample on the 2026 offense is close to nothing and the first quarter is the first real read.
Florida A&M's run game: 54 yards on 16 carries against a Division II opponent is the number that most needs to improve before a short week at Miami.
The two-game head to head: Florida A&M won 22-18 in 2024 and 20-14 in 2022, and the board is pricing as though neither result is predictive.
One-book pricing: with no Polymarket leg and about $9.2K of lifetime volume, this price is one thin order book, not a cross-platform consensus.
No spread or total: the board offers only the winner market, so margin and scoring views have no direct instrument on this game.
The MEAC and SWAC slate around this game is on the board as well. North Carolina Central hosts Elizabeth City State the day before, a useful comparison since the Eagles beat Florida A&M 45-7 and lost to South Carolina State 34-27 last season. Jackson State faces Edward Waters on the same Saturday, and the Tigers handled the Rattlers 41-16 in 2025. Howard hosts Richmond in the other MEAC opener worth watching, with the Bison having beaten Florida A&M 10-9 last August. For the marquee card on the same Sunday, Wisconsin at Notre Dame is the deepest college football board on the date. Every college board we price sits on the NCAA football hub.
Resolves to the team that wins the Orange Blossom Classic between South Carolina State and Florida A&M, scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, and televised nationally on ESPN. Each team's moneyline contract pays $1 per share if that team wins the game and $0 otherwise, settled on Kalshi from the official final score. The board carries a moneyline only, with no spread or total market, so overtime affects only the winner and not any margin contract. If the game is postponed to a later date, contracts remain open until the rescheduled game is played and goes final. If the game is canceled outright or otherwise voided, the contracts settle per Kalshi's published rules for the series.
As of September 2, 2026, Kalshi prices South Carolina State at 89c and Florida A&M at 11c on the Orange Blossom Classic moneyline. The price had not moved across the 19 snapshots captured in the prior 23 hours. The live board above carries the current number.
It resolves on the final score of the game, kicking off at 3:00 PM ET on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Kalshi settles once the game goes final, normally the same evening.
Kalshi only. There is no Polymarket leg on either side of this game, so the board is a single order book rather than a cross-platform consensus, with about $9.2K in lifetime volume across the two moneyline contracts.
South Carolina State, at an implied 89% as of September 2, 2026. The Bulldogs won the Celebration Bowl 40-38 in four overtimes over Prairie View A&M to close a 10-3 season, then opened 2026 with an 87-0 win over Savannah State.
Florida A&M's rushing volume, which produced 54 yards on 16 carries in the opener, and how early South Carolina State goes to its backups. The Rattlers also play at Miami on Thursday, September 10, four days later at the same stadium.
