The Kalshi ladder prices Minnesota at 9.2 expected wins for 2026, which is last season's 9-8 record with rounding. That anchor is wrong. Minnesota won nine games in 2025 while running the worst third-down offense in the NFL and committing more giveaways than any other team, and it did that on top of a defense that allowed the seventh-fewest points in football. One half of that team repeats. The other half was a floor. At least 10 wins trades at 44c on a $122K board, and that is the side.
Vikings Win Total 2026 Odds: Where the Kalshi Ladder Crosses 50c
Every contract on this board reads "win at least N games this season," so the 10+ rung pays on any finish from 10 wins through 17.
| Rung | Kalshi | Implied | Lifetime volume |
| 7+ wins | 78c | 78% | $2.1K |
| 8+ wins | 68c | 68% | $14.1K |
| 9+ wins | 58c | 58% | $47.6K |
| 10+ wins | 44c | 44% | $34.7K |
| 11+ wins | 31c | 31% | $7.5K |
| 12+ wins | 26c | 26% | $5.8K |
| 13+ wins | 18c | 18% | $3.7K |
| 14+ wins | 10c | 10% | $1.5K |
The ladder crosses 50c between 9+ at 58c and 10+ at 44c, and those two rungs alone hold $82.3K of the board's $122K lifetime volume. Two-thirds of every dollar traded here rides on one question: match last year, or beat it by a game.
It is also a one-book market. Polymarket does not list a Minnesota win total, so every quote above is Kalshi money. The cross-platform read lives one board over: the 2026 NFC North Division odds have Minnesota at 19c on Kalshi and 17c on Polymarket, a 2c gap on a $448K two-platform market. The exchanges agree, and they have Minnesota fourth in its own division behind Detroit at 35.5c, Green Bay at 27c and Chicago at 24.5c.
The Vikings Win Total 2026 Take: Nine Wins Was the Floor
Buy 10+ at 44c.
Add up the ladder and the market's expected finish is 9.2 wins. Run the same arithmetic across the division and Detroit prices at 10.9, Green Bay at 9.8 and Chicago at 9.7. Minnesota is the cheapest team in the NFC North on a board where it finished 2025 with the same 9-8 record Detroit did.
Records are not the argument. Process is. Minnesota's nine wins came out of a season where the offense was, by the two measures that decide close games, the worst in the league. That result was the ceiling of what the offense could produce, and the offense is the part that changed.
What 2025 Says About the Vikings Win Total 2026 Offense
Minnesota converted 31.8% of its third downs in 2025, 32nd out of 32 teams. It gave the ball away 30 times, the most in the NFL, for a turnover margin of -9. It allowed 60 sacks, tied for second-most behind only Las Vegas at 64. It averaged 166.7 net passing yards per game, 29th in the league, and scored 344 points, 26th.
Justin Jefferson still produced 1,048 receiving yards and Jordan Addison 610. On a team averaging under 167 net passing yards a game, the skill group was not the problem.
The team still finished 9-8 with a +11 point differential and missed the NFC field as the eighth seed, a half-game behind Green Bay's 9-7-1. Nine wins was what that offense could hold up.
The Defense Behind the Vikings Win Total 2026 Bid
Minnesota allowed 333 points in 2025, seventh-fewest in the NFL, and generated 49 sacks, fifth-most. That unit is largely intact on the 2026 roster. Dallas Turner (8 sacks), Andrew Van Ginkel (7), Eric Wilson (6.5 sacks and 115 tackles), Blake Cashman (144 tackles), Byron Murphy Jr. and Joshua Metellus are all listed. Harrison Smith, who tied for the team lead with two interceptions, is not.
Kevin O'Connell enters his fifth season as head coach. A returning top-seven scoring defense under a stable staff is the most predictable asset on this board, and the ladder is not charging for it.
Kyler Murray Is the Vikings Win Total 2026 Swing Factor
ESPN's 2026 depth chart lists Kyler Murray as the starter, J.J. McCarthy second and Carson Wentz third. That is the bull case in one line.
McCarthy started 10 games in 2025 and completed 57.6% for 1,632 yards, 11 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, a 72.6 rating, while taking 27 sacks. Murray, in five games for a 3-14 Arizona team, completed 68.3% for 962 yards with 6 touchdowns and 3 interceptions at an 88.6 rating. His interception rate was 1.9% of attempts against McCarthy's 4.9%.
Almost 11 points of completion percentage is exactly the currency third-and-medium trades in, and third down is where Minnesota's season died.
The honest counter is twofold. Murray took 16 sacks in those five games, a higher per-game rate than McCarthy's, so the 60-sack problem is not obviously a quarterback fix. And availability is his career-long issue: 14 games in 2021, 11 in 2022, 8 in 2023, 17 in 2024 and 5 in 2025. That is 55 of a possible 85 games in five seasons, with one full year, 2024, when he threw for 3,851 yards and 21 touchdowns.
That is why the ceiling rungs are the fade. Buying 13+ at 18c or 14+ at 10c asks a quarterback who has finished one of five seasons healthy to play 17 games and win four more than last year.
Why the 2026 Schedule Caps the Vikings Win Total 2026
Minnesota's 2026 opponents went a combined 150-138-1 in 2025, a .519 clip. The season opens at home against Green Bay on September 13, with the bye in Week 6.
The hard stretch is the middle: Buffalo (12-5) on Monday, November 9, Green Bay on the road November 15, San Francisco (12-5) on November 22, then New England, which finished 14-3 and reached Super Bowl LX, on Thursday, December 10. The soft landing comes late, with Washington (5-12) at home December 27, the Jets (3-14) on the road January 3 and Chicago at home to close January 10, 2027.
Six games come against a division whose other three teams went 29-21-1 last season. There is no easy path to 13 wins here. There is a clear path to 10 or 11.
The Vikings Win Total 2026 Ladder Has a Kink at 11 Wins
Subtract each rung from the one below it and the implied distribution comes apart in one spot. Exactly 10 wins prices at 13%. Exactly 12 prices at 8%. Exactly 11 prices at 5%.
No forecast has an 11-win season as less likely than a 12-win season. That is a shape artifact of thin rungs, not a view: 11+ has taken $7.5K of lifetime volume and 12+ $5.8K, against $47.6K on the 9+ rung.
It also makes 11+ at 31c the cheaper expression of the same thesis: 5c over the 12+ rung buys the entire exactly-11 outcome.
When the Vikings Win Total 2026 Market Resolves
Settlement is Minnesota's final 2026 regular-season win count. The listed resolution date is January 18, 2027, but Week 18 decides it: at home against Chicago on January 10, 2027. Kalshi's contract language is "win at least N games," so a tie counts as neither. Green Bay finished 9-7-1 last season, which makes that live at the 9+ and 10+ rungs.
What Moves the Vikings Win Total 2026 Before Week 1
- Quarterback confirmation: Any change to Murray's position atop the depth chart resets this board, in either direction.
- Offensive line health: The 60 sacks allowed in 2025 were the second-most in football, and no quarterback fixes that alone.
- Turnover regression: Minnesota's 30 giveaways led the NFL, and turnover margin is the least persistent team statistic year to year.
- Division pricing drift: Detroit at 10.9 implied wins and Minnesota at 9.2 is a 1.7-win gap between two teams that both finished 9-8.
- The September 13 opener: Green Bay at home is the first real read on whether the third-down offense actually changed.
Where the Vikings Win Total 2026 Sits Against the Rest of the NFC North
Compare the Detroit Lions 2026 win total ladder at 69c for 10+ against the Chicago Bears 2026 win total odds at 49c and the Green Bay Packers 2026 win total odds at 55c. Minnesota's 44c is the outlier, and the gap is wider than the 2025 records justify.
The NFC Championship 2026-27 odds carry $10.6M and price the conference more aggressively than any single win total does. Broader coverage sits on the Minnesota Vikings prediction markets hub and across NFL prediction markets.
Nine wins was the floor. The board is treating it as the forecast.
